Burbank School District 111 engages in ongoing efforts to ensure high levels of security and privacy in the use of online data. We are writing to inform you that there was a security incident affecting PowerSchool, which took place in late December 2024.

We are excited to announce a major update regarding the food services for our district. As of November, Arbor Management Inc. joined the Whitsons Culinary Group Family of Companies! This transition brings many exciting changes, including a new menu with delicious options and a revamped marketing program that will be rolled out over the next few months.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education was held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

We're excited to launch the FirstView Parent App that will allow you to track your student's bus route. Click the article for instructions on how to set up your account and alerts. Any questions other than student ID numbers and routes codes can be addressed directly with FirstView.

We are excited to announce that District 111 will be using TalkingPoints to communicate with parents and guardians.  TalkingPoints is a two-way multilingual family engagement platform helping teachers and school leadership stay connected with families via text message.  Next week, you will receive a message from your child’s school regarding TalkingPoints.

Burbank School District 111 is pleased to introduce a new online payment program, e~Funds for Schools. The e~Funds program replaces E-Pay and offers various options for parents/guardians who choose to make payments online and is extremely user friendly. Not only will you have the ability to have various school fees and lunch payments electronically withdrawn from your checking account or charged to your credit card; you also have the flexibility to make a payment at any time through the school's website.

The 2025-2026 Official School Calendar was approved at the January 22 Board of Education Meeting. The first day for students is Wednesday, August 13.

McCord's school wide spelling bee will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. Family members of the participants are welcome to attend. Congratulations to the participants!

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with the Penguin Patch Holiday Shop. Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, December 13th to assist with setup. Volunteers are also needed on Thursday, December 14th and Friday, December 15th. Please read the attached flyer for details.

McCord School will be accepting non-perishable food items from December 4th through December 15th. Our school-wide goal is to collect 600 hundred items. All items will be donated to the Our Savior's Food Pantry. Items may be sent to school with students or dropped off in the main office.
