Principal

Hi McCord Early Learning Center Families,

It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the Principal of the McCord Early Learning Center. My name is Ashley Hines, and I am honored to lead our preschool and early childhood program as we begin our year together.

I bring over ten years of experience as a special education teacher in Berwyn North School District 98, along with a strong passion for supporting young learners and their families during these important early years.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Combined Special and Elementary Education from Lewis University, a Master’s of Science in Teaching and Learning with a focus in English as a Second Language from the University of St. Francis, and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Lewis University.

Burbank is home to me—I was raised here and am a proud graduate of District 111 and Reavis High School. It is truly meaningful to now serve this community in a leadership role and give back to the district that helped shape me.

I am excited to continue building a strong team at McCord and expanding our programming to best support our youngest learners. I look forward to partnering with you and your families to create a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment where every child can grow and thrive.

Liberty Drama Club Fall Play

Liberty Drama Club's Fall Play will be held November 13 & 14 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Stickney Township Public Health is asking our staff, parents, and township residents to take a brief survey. The Stickney Public Health District Community Health Planning Committee will use the results of this survey and other information to identify the most important health problems to address.

Mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, October 24 for an exciting Districtwide Health & Wellness Fair from 10:00-12:00. This fun-filled event will feature a Healthy Farmers Market, Pumpkin Painting, Inflatable Mazes, and engaging school-themed fitness activities for all ages. Don’t miss the colorful and energetic COLOR FUN RUN at 10:30 am.
