Principal
Ashley Hines will continue leading our at-risk pre-school and early childhood program at the new McCord Early Learning Center.  She has served as the Early Childhood Coordinator for the past two years at Maddock School as the program continued to grow.  Ms. Hines has been a special education teacher for ten years in Berwyn North School District 98.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Combined Special and Elementary Education from Lewis University as well as a Master’s of Science in Teaching and Learning / English as a Second Language from the University of St. Francis and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Lewis University.  Ms. Hines was raised in Burbank and graduated from District 111 and Reavis High School.  Her experience and expertise will ensure a smooth transition to her new role as Principal and she looks forward to expanding the team in order to provide early learning programming for our youngest students.

Battle of the Badges Softball Game

Please join the Burbank School PFC as it hosts its annual Battle of the Badges softball game. Come see the Burbank Fire Department, Police Department and District 111 staff play softball on Friday, September 20th at MacArther Park, located at 83rd & McVicker, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. There will be food, music and a fun softball game to watch. All Burbank Community members are welcome to attend.

election timeline

School Board Elections

Burbank School District 111 will have four school board seats to be filled at the April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election. Candidates who are elected will fill four-year terms expiring in April 2029. Candidates for the office of school board can begin to circulate nominating petitions beginning August 20. The period for filing candidate filing runs from November 12 through November 18. Click here for additional information and required forms. School board candidate packets are also available for pick up at the district office.
