Principal
Ashley Hines will continue leading our at-risk pre-school and early childhood program at the new McCord Early Learning Center.  She has served as the Early Childhood Coordinator for the past two years at Maddock School as the program continued to grow.  Ms. Hines has been a special education teacher for ten years in Berwyn North School District 98.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Combined Special and Elementary Education from Lewis University as well as a Master’s of Science in Teaching and Learning / English as a Second Language from the University of St. Francis and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Lewis University.  Ms. Hines was raised in Burbank and graduated from District 111 and Reavis High School.  Her experience and expertise will ensure a smooth transition to her new role as Principal and she looks forward to expanding the team in order to provide early learning programming for our youngest students.

Young Authors Contest

The Young Authors Contest promotes writing and creativity by encouraging children to write an original story and present it in book form. The contest is open to all students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Submissions are due Thursday, January 8.

Parent Teacher Conferences / Thanksgiving Break / IL School Report Card

Happy November! Please review the schedule for next week. Monday, November 24 is a half-day of attendance. Elementary students will be released at 11:15 am and junior high students will be released at 11:45 am. The early childhood/pre-k AM session will attend. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held in the afternoon and evening of November 24 and 25. There is no school for the remainder of the week due the Thanksgiving Holiday.
